2024 NA Nationals Synopsis!

The 2024 UniVersus Nationals trilogy thundered to a close in Grapevine, Texas, with three days of action (two days of Swiss rounds, and one day of top-cut), all before we head to the World Championship in February.

Hats off to TRAVIS TANGEMAN, who took the top prize with a dramatic 2-0 victory using Krista Lenz!

WINNER: Travis Tangeman (Krista Lenz)
Finalist: Cory Nelson (Recovery Girl)
Top 4: Mitchell Cimino (Bertolt Hoover, Living Weapon)
Top 4: Ryan Levine (Hawks)

With previous Nationals top-cut characters Mimic, Ymir, and Bertolt Hoover, Living Weapon in the final 16, it came down to a final showdown between Cory Nelson's ironically lethal Recovery Girl, and Travis Tangeman's Krista Lenz!

Mimic was the most-used character at OCE Nationals, with Godzilla, King of the Monsters being the most-used at EU Nationals, so it only made sense for two powerful, efficient characters to both show up in force at NA Nationals.

However, we ended up having a very diverse showing in Top 16, with a variety of (relative) dark horses fighting their way to the top!
