Please note, the Hero League Championship main event is an invite-only tournament that you qualify for via top finishes at a Pro Hero Nationals event or earn an invite from the Last Chance Qualifier. However, all players are welcome to compete in the Last Chance Qualifier, compete in side events, and cheer on your favorite players!

UniVersus Hero League Championship Main Event

Players from around the world have competed at the highest levels of competition to lay it all on the line at this Championship event of the 2023 Organized Play Season. Earning their invitation to this event secures their placement as the Top 32 players in the world, but who will reign as the new #1?

Format: My Hero Academia Spotlight
Structure: 32 Player - Double Elimination Bracket, Best of 3, Untimed Rounds.

Details: After all 32 players have been identified from invites and LCQ winners, players will be randomly placed into a 32 player double elimination bracket. Match play procedure will follow our Tournament Floor Rules for top cuts with the following exception:
- Players will randomly determine who chooses to play first in game one.

This event will take place over the course of two days. Saturday (day 1) being a minimum of 5 rounds with more played if time permits. The remaining rounds will be take place on Sunday (Day 2) until a champion is identified.

The winner of the 2023 UniVersus Hero League Championship will earn the right to work with the UVS Games design team to create their very own card and be immortalized in UniVersus forever. The card will feature original art of the champion, and text commemorating their epic victory. Don’t miss your chance to win the coolest prize in gaming.*

(Players who won a championship prior to UVS Games taking ownership of UniVersus will be contacted directly about getting their card published.)

*Winner must sign an NDA to participate in this design a card prize. All UVS Games decisions regarding art and game design are final.

All Specialty Side Events will be Swiss Rounds with no top cuts. Number of rounds will be based on the number of players in the event.

Format: Standard: Challenger Characters Only

Four characters enter, but only 1 can be victorious! This event will require you to challenge your deck building skills within the current standard format. Spike, Faye, Vash, Or Wolfwood from our Challenger Deck Series MUST be your starting character for every game in this event. Will you reach the stars or crash on a planet of defeat?

Standard format brings out the best from our players. This event will let you experience all the new battles you can have with Jet Burn and the Challenger Series! Can you rise to the challenge?

A UniVersus fan favorite! Grab two friends and go head to head in a 3v3 tournament! This format has limited deck building rules of no characters shared and being able to only use two playsets of any other card as a team. Will you rise with the power of teamwork?

Cost: $15
Triple Threat is a 1v1v1 format where you compete to be the first person to get any rival down to zero health. But be careful, even while attacking one rival the other rival has a chance to respond or even block. This fast paced single game style will be sure to keep all players on their toes and coming back for more!
