The World Of UVS Games Visits Fan Expo Dallas
Levi Lalonde, Organized Play Coordinator
Good evening, our dear viewers 👋🏻
It’s Levi, from the Organized Play team, reporting in from an action packed weekend at Fan Expo Dallas.
I was shipped out (and by that I mean I drove three hours) to Dallas Texas to help spread the word of the game where worlds collide. We had a crack team of Demoers organized by Tony Hevia assembled to help teach and equip tons of new con-goers with everything they need to get rocking and rolling.

We saw a booth loaded with folks all weekend as they excitedly learned the ropes alongside our new Attack on Titan demo experience. Mechanically, we debuted this simplified demo at LVL UP Expo with the Sun Wukong and Hercules decks to a massive success. This time around though, it was great to see folks also enjoying the artwork from Attack on Titan on them and getting pumped for the titan-filled products dropping throughout the rest of this year. Ochaco herself even showed up to learn, and we saw several families all getting in on the tabletop action together!

Getting my boots on the ground and in the trenches with our players is one of my favorite parts of the gig, so it was very humbling and rewarding to spend a weekend with some of the most passionate teachers around. I got to help them get so many new fighters ready to hit their game stores up and join up with their communities.
We also had a MASSIVE amount of people coming up to “oooh” and “aaah” at the upcoming Godzilla Challenger Series cards. The excitement radiating from so many dedicated kaiju fans for that product was exhilarating, and I expect to see a real big influx of new, interested eyes invading your LGS once those decks drop. Between the passion that Godzilla fans have for these cards of their favorite monsters, and the amazing power they’re bringing in making them must-haves for UniVersus players, this is really going to be a slam dunk release weekend.
As far as personal highlights for me, I got to see a ton of awesome cosplayers from inside and outside UniVersus’ worlds. I talked my way out of getting bounty hunted, and then ran into a couple spirit fighters ready to slam IRL Oar Strikes!

I even got to drop off some cards to the real-life Humanoid Typhoon, and then ran into one of my favorite actors at the pub after the show!

It was a weekend filled with equal parts hard work and pure fun. Massive shoutouts to our entire demo team of dedicated folks, to my fellow UVS Games team members Brad and Leenoco for holding down the fort with me, and to Fan Expo Dallas itself and all its workers and attendees alike for making a great show!
Oh, and to the little cafe downstairs for making a MEAN mocha. 🧊☕️
Until next time!
