BAN AND ERRATA UPDATE 05/05/2026

BAN AND ERRATA UPDATE 05/05/2026

There is one change to the ban and errata list this month. Following the results of our first set of Local Championships and our first regional of 2026 there has been a clear outlier results wise. The Titan of Terror has been causing a little bit too much terror to the current competitive landscape. The impact of this character in particular has warped the metagame around him. Carrying a high powered and consistent offense allowing him to push past almost any level of defensive options and bring a level of consistent pressure and tempo that other aggro decks struggle to match. We want to take action on this fairly significant outlier and see how the meta takes shape once the titan isn’t standing quite so tall.

This list will still go into effect at its normal cadence. This update is in effect on May 11th, 2026.

The following card will receive errata:

  • Godzilla, Titan of Terror

Godzilla, Titan of Terror – Errata

  • OLD: Form [Once per turn]: Play 1 card with printed difficulty 5 from your discard pile as your next form (no check necessary).
  • NEW: First Form: Try to play a card with printed difficulty 5 from your discard pile as your next form.

There are a bunch of significant benefits that come from the original ability to deploy the form whenever you’d like. Creating a bunch of catch all solutions to things like build quality, defensive disruption and optimal attack timing. This kit of options is a powerful part of the titan’s gameplan that makes defending against the character feel particularly impossible. By moving to a first form, it should make the deck a bit easier to gameplan for defensively and have more viable tools to defend with at your disposal. It also makes power plays on your second attack with cards like Queen of the Monsters involve a little more risk and a lot less consistent since you’ll be playing the card from hand. It also impacts the tempo, making it a little tougher to “cheat” in a late foundation/backup at the end of a build. The second thing we want to tweak just a little a is the offensive consistency. Currently the Titan excels at getting a lot of mileage out of a relatively small stage by not having to take as many risks during its attack turn. By removing the auto pass on the control check, it makes their first attack carry some risk and vulnerability to tools like check hacks early in the turn.
