Badge Q&A

As Riftbound continues to grow, we’re testing ticketing partners to provide the best possible player experience. For Lille and Atlanta, we’re working with a well-established industry platform to ensure stability and equal access when registration opens.

Ticketing is a critical part of the competitive journey. Throughout launch year we’re refining the system to support fairness, competitive integrity, and long-term sustainability.

We’re also increasing main event capacity for Lille and Atlanta, with goals to expand further later this year.

This is not the final version of Riftbound ticketing. We expect the process to evolve again for future Regional Qualifiers as we continue exploring solutions that better support players, including Skirmish winners.

We’re prioritizing a system where all players can access registration at the same time on a stable platform. For this stage of Organized Play, we want a transparent and predictable process so players know exactly when and how to secure their spot.

We’ll continue evaluating alternative methods, including lottery-style systems, as the circuit evolves and as we scale future events.

Our anti-reselling efforts worked!

Internal metrics showed very little bot or reseller activity for RQ Bologna and Las Vegas. What we saw instead was significant demand—demand that currently outpaces the capacity of the large convention venues we’re partnered with.

That’s momentum. And it also means we need more room.

We’re actively evaluating capacity improvements for the future.

With our ticketing platform, we’ve added additional tools to further ensure that the people purchasing badges are the players who plan to use them.

As a reminder: There is no transferring of badges once purchased for a Riftbound Regional Qualifier.

We are still working on finalizing an improved access plan for Skirmish winners that will begin rolling out with the next round of Regional Qualifiers, for Lille and Atlanta. More details soon. We know it matters.

We’re settling into badge thresholds that are working for Regional Qualifiers.

You may see benefits adjust slightly from event to event as new product becomes available—for example, the emphasis on Spiritforged in Bologna and Las Vegas. We’ll continue refining badge tiers based on product availability and player feedback.
