Gear Up: The Borderlands 4 Experience Bundle Arrives December 5

Gear up! The Borderlands 4 Experience Bundle arrives on December 5th, featuring four Alt-Universe character cards inspired by the newest Vault Hunters, plus four complementary cards that highlight their themes, style, and identity. Each bundle includes one copy of every character card and four copies of each supporting card, giving players a set to collect or play right out of the box.

The characters in this product are what we have come to call “Alt-Universe” characters. They are the base card text from another character in the game pulled into this different alternate setting. We looked closely at the available character pool and sought to find the best possible matches for game mechanics that spoke to these characters’ identities. However, they are considered their own characters, and are not direct stand-ins for the original printed characters.

Alongside these characters, included are some borderlands themed reprints of cards that we think fit well with the borderlands property. If you missed out on the first versions of these to be printed, now is a great time to access them.

All of these cards are parallels to cards released in 2024. As such, cards in the Borderlands bundle will rotate out when the 2024 products do. This is a change from how we might have approached things in the past, but the intention of these kinds of Alt-Universe bundles is to provide alternate art and theming, not to extend legality.
