Banned & Errata Announcement and Rules Update 9/6/2023

There are no changes to the UniVersus Banned and Errata list this month.

As the tournament season after the release of Undaunted Raid has continued, we have seen a diverse set of new characters and previously underrepresented symbols having success in high level play. We still have eyes on the symbol representation patterns mentioned in the previous month B&E article, and while we are happy with the diversity of our results, we still are keeping a very close watch on those patterns moving forward.

We’d also like to highlight two recent clarifying additions to the rulebook.

• Under ‘Combo’, an entry has been added clarifying that face down cards cannot fulfill any combo requirements other than (Face Down).

• Under ‘Discard’ we’ve added a bullet point to help reduce confusion about the ambiguity of the term discard written as part of card effects. An example would be a card that has an effect when it is discarded. The effect would not be triggered by discarding it from momentum or from the top of a player’s deck.
