BAN AND ERRATA UPDATE 04/03/2026
We have two cards we are issuing an errata to this month. We’ve been taking in the results from our incredible world championship and the early parts of our Local Championship season 1 events. Today’s changes are focused on improving the play experiences of two popular cards in competitive play. We have decided to announce this ban list early to help players have the additional weekend to prepare their decks for the Round 1 Regional in Chicago, IL. This list will still go into effect at its normal cadence, April 13th, 2026.
The following cards will receive errata:
- City Rampage
- Mark Tyner, 2020 World Champion
City Rampage – Errata

- OLD: Form: Your checks to play attacks with printed difficulty 5 or greater get +2 for the rest of this turn.
- NEW: Form Spend 1 momentum: Your checks to play attacks with printed difficulty 5 or greater get +2 for the rest of this turn.
Since the release of the Godzilla challenger deck, City Rampage has been the backbone of the “5 difficulty or greater” attack package. While new attacks would come and go for the strategy, City Rampage was a constant. Now that Godzilla: Reign of Kaiju is out in the world, there are more characters and cards supporting the 5 diff playstyle than ever. With that in mind we think it’s time to adjust some of the explosiveness of early game City Rampage. Combined with some of the powerful new tools available to the strategy, we are seeing games end faster than we’d like. This errata should slow it down early, especially in multiples.
Mark Tyner, 2020 World Champion – Errata

- OLD: Response [Twice per turn] Commit 1 Unique card: After a player makes a check to play a non-foundation card, that check gets +2 or -2.
- NEW: Response [Once per turn] Commit 1 Unique card: After a player makes a check to play a non-foundation card, that check gets +2 or -2.
The goal of this ability was to add tension to the opponents decision making. Can I afford to play this attack on low resources? Unfortunately that tension doesn’t really ever go away currently. Even getting past your first card played, you still are stuck in a difficult situation working through the second activation. Having a bit of bad luck by being forced to play through the response when you aren’t prepared, or checking poorly when you think you are prepared leads to very lopsided games. We want to try and protect the initial tension of that first play into the response, but make it feel a little easier to progress the game state once you get past it.
