2025 Worlds Schedule

2025 Worlds Schedule

Good afternoon, UniVersus.

This is Levi, your Organized Play Coordinator, reporting in to tell you that 2025 Worlds is just over the horizon. Get ready for one of the craziest weekends of nonstop UniVersus action you’ve ever seen. Strap in and break out your reading glasses, because we’ve got a lot of ground to cover.

First off, let’s talk tourney. With three days of rounds paved out, the main event of Worlds (and all the sweet, sweet prizing at the end) is by far the biggest draw. Let’s finally take a look at what those three days are gonna actually look like.

Day 1 kicks off with all players who have reached their Region’s point threshold. That’s 50 points for US players, 40 points for EU players, and 30 points for OCE players. These folks will battle it out throughout a number of Swiss rounds based on attendance. At the end of the day, 16 of them will stand strong and proceed into Day 2.

There, they’ll be joined directly by all players that earned enough points to directly qualify for day 2 to continue the fight. A set of 6 Swiss rounds will play out, and once again the best 16 players will live to fight another day.

Finally, Day 3 concludes this epic tournament as we follow a Top 16 bracket filled with the best of the best. Each player will fight tooth and nail, knocking each other out until we eventually crown our grand champion and find out who the next fighter to forever immortalize themself in UniVersus cardboard will be.

Dialing all that back a little, let’s jump back into Day 1 so we can chat prizing!

All players that find themselves in the main event will grab a participation package loaded with goodies from across the UniVersus! You’ll receive promo cards featuring all your favorite IPs this year, on top of all the TCG staples decked out in UniVersus themes. A playmat to jam all your Worlds games on, a compact deck box to carry all your fresh cards, a lil sling bag to store your goodies in, and a 2025 Worlds pin to brand your bag even further beautifully round out this collection! Stay tuned for a better look at some of those items in the coming weeks, they’ll be worth the wait!

The main event for 2025 Worlds is now LIVE! Click the link here to sign up. While this is a closed event for players with 50 points or more, ANY player may purchase registration and receive the participation items. Afterwards, you will be removed from the event if you do not meet the points threshold for qualification.

And Day 2 players, don’t worry. You’ll receive the participation bundle on-site automatically with your Day 2 qualification. If you are qualified for Day 2, you do not have to register into the main event. Simply check-in for Day 2 with registration.

Speaking of Day 2 qualification, the competitors that qualify for Day 2 will receive:

But what about my side event gamers? Fret not, I’ve got ya covered too. We have an absolute bevy of different festivities in store for you. Let’s deep dive into the full schedule so you can really grasp the slickness of these side events.

Throughout this schedule, you’ll find a series of side events titled “Double Ticket Takedown”. The structure of these is simple: they consist of a myriad of formats that you can either play as on-demand Bo1 pods, or sit down for these scheduled Bo3 variants that provide (you guessed it) double the tickets! You’ll see the classic Standard and MHA Spotlight are accompanied by some new friends here, namely our new 3v3 format and the community-built Hero Too format! A slew of specialty side events also await you. Whether it’s some old school fun in Retro, striving for greatness in some Guilty Gear sealed, or experiencing the infamous craze of Nick Ragan’s cube, we’ve got your back! Of course though, Godzilla is the king of the monsters and of side events with both Saturday and Sunday featuring early super prerelease events for Godzilla: Reign of Kaiju!

But don’t forget about Teams! Grab your friends and come battle it out for prize wall tickets and another set of coveted Teams Champion belts! Lastly, each day will cap out with a Cardslinging Happy Hour. From 6-7pm each evening, Cardslinging will be worth double the tickets!

Did I say cardslinging? Yep! In addition to being able to play all Double Ticket Takedown formats as on-demand pods, casual on-demand events are also available in the form of UVS Games staff member cardslinging matches, or hectic Boss Battles featuring PvE encounters with your party!

That about covers it for our side event schedule. Check out the link below for a chart with an even more detailed breakdown of them all as well as their prize wall ticket payouts, and LIVE event links you can sign up for right now!

At this point, you are all probably wondering what to do with all these prize wall tickets. Well let’s go ahead show SOME of the incredible prizes that can be redeemed on the prize wall:

Double Sized Card: 1 Prize Wall Ticket

Prize Wall Promo Card: 3 Prize Wall Tickets:

Prize Wall Playmat: 4 Prize Wall Tickets

Prize Wall Uncut Sheet: 30 Prize Wall Tickets

And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. I can’t wait to give you all a peek at the rest of the main event prizing. Our best players will be showered in boosters, prize wall items, placement-stamped Chrome cards, Top Cut mats, and even more UniVersus themed swag as far as the eye can see. And for all the true side event grinders, boy do I have a myriad of those prize wall goodies (over 20 items!) to show ya.

For now though? That’s all the time I’ve got. I’ve gotta get back to working on making 2025 Worlds the slickest UniVersus event you’ve ever seen. Stay tuned to our socials after the New Year for even more prizing announcements as we get closer and closer to ushering in this new era of UniVersus Organized Play!

Until then, stay classy UniVersus.
