UniVersus 2025 Organized Play Cycle Worlds Points Structure
UVS Games Organized Play Team
Hello UniVersus Players!
We are currently in the midst of a full Organized Play page refresh and can't wait to share it with you all in the coming weeks! However, there is some information we want you to have right away in regards to the point structure for the 2025 OP Cycle. So let's jump right into it.
Each region will have separate points thresholds to receive their Worlds invitations. As you can see from the list, day one invitations are pretty achievable while day two invitations will take some effort… or really high placement in our Regionals.
Points needed for Worlds Invitations
NA Day 1 Invite | NA Day 2 Invite | EU Day 1 Invite | EU Day 2 Invite | OCE Day 1 Invite | OCE Day 2 Invite |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
50 | 200 | 40 | 160 | 30 | 120 |
You may be asking yourselves, “How do we go about earning these points, Mr. OP guy?” Well, it's a good thing we're here to answer that question for you.
There will be two event tiers that earn you points toward your Worlds invitation. These tiers are the Local Championships, which take place in your local game stores and the Regional Championships which will be taking place around the globe through December.
Local Championships will award the following points based on your final placement
Participation | Top 16 | Top 8 | Top 4 | Finalist | Champ |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
1 | 2 | 4 | 6 | 8 | 10 |
Winning a handful of these events will be enough for players to earn that day one Worlds invitation or could earn you those final points toward a day two invite.
Regionals are on a whole other level earning many more points for placing highly as well as a bit more just for showing up.
Regional Tournaments will award the following points based on your final placement
Participation | Top 32 | Top 16 | Top 8 | Top 4 | Finalist | Champ |
5 | 25 | 50 | 75 | 100 | 150 | 200 |
Regional events are the highest tier events happening through the 2025 Cycle and, as seen above, offer the largest pool of points towards Worlds. Taking down all of your challengers at a Regional will automatically qualify you for the second day of the World Championship, which will be a huge benefit and will allow you that extra time to relax before the largest UniVersus World Championship begins.
However you play and whatever events you attend, we look forward to seeing you all during the 2025 OP cycle. Stay tuned for more information and we look forward to talking to you soon!
