What Are Store Scrambles?
Store Scrambles are the perfect way to dive into organized play for UniVersus, whether you’re a new player or a seasoned competitor looking for a fun and casual event. Store Scrambles offers a structured tournament experience without the pressure of earning Championship Points, making them a great stepping stone toward bigger competitions.
Why Play in a Store Scramble?
Perfect for Beginners – New to UniVersus? Store Scrambles are designed to ease players into the tournament scene with a more relaxed format.
No Championship Points? No Problem! – While these events won’t contribute to your Worlds qualification, they will offer fantastic exclusive prizes that you won’t want to miss.
Meet & Compete – Connect with fellow UniVersus players at your local game store, build friendships, and grow your skills.
Store Scramble Format
Store Scrambles offer stores the flexibility to run the event in one of two formats, allowing players to compete in the style that best suits their community.
Standard Format - A traditional UniVersus tournament where players bring decks from the standard card pool. This format rewards well-rounded strategies and mastery of the game.
Spotlight: Critical Role Format - This format encourages players to build and compete using cards specific to the Critical Role IP. This would include the previously released Critical Role Challenger Series Decks, as well as the Heroes of Exandria booster set.

Every Store Scramble event comes with limited-edition promo cards, including participation and victory prizes!

How to Join a Store Scramble
1️⃣ Encourage your LGS to sign up or find a participating store near you hosting a Store Scramble event. Season 1 events will be held between March 24th - April 13th!
2️⃣ Bring your deck and get ready to play! Stores have the choice between Standard or Spotlight: Critical Role format, so make sure to check the event ahead of time.
3️⃣ Have fun! This is a great opportunity to enjoy UniVersus in a welcoming, casual setting.
