Undaunted Raid Character Spotlight – Tamaki Amajiki

In this Character Spotlight, we will be taking a look into Tamaki Amajiki, the Suneater! Tamaki takes the notion of “You are what you eat” and pushes it to the limit with his quirk “Manifest” that lets him enhance his body with traits from food he eats!

Tamaki Amajiki’s quirk is represented in the game via abilities that let Tamaki send cards to his Momentum face up, as well as a suite of cards that have abilities that can activate from your Momentum. As the fight goes on and Tamaki accumulates more and more face-up cards in his Momentum, he gets stronger and stronger!

Tamaki’s abilities start out with a Static ability that lets you send any attack from your card pool to your Momentum when you end your turn. Being able to guarantee that cards like Vast Chimera Kraken Hybrid can do their job from Momentum is incredibly valuable!

Next up, we have a Once Per Turn Enhance that modifies the attack stat of the attacking card by the number of face-up Momentum you have plus two! Stacking up lots of Momentum can make any Tamaki launches a potentially lethal attack, as well as providing tremendous value on defense as well.

Lastly, we have a Once Per GAME Enhance that lets you choose 3 of your Momentum and flip them face-up! You can even target momentum that have effects you’ve already used that turn, flip them back up and use them again!

Vast Hybrid provides check-boosting from your Momentum on both you and your Rival’s turn, as well as a Once Per Turn Form to give your attacks +1 damage for the turn!

On top of that, Vast Hybrid also has an enhance that it can send itself to your Momentum, though you can only have one face-up.

Playing as Tamaki Amajiki, Vast Hybrid provides even more benefit as you can have multiple copies face-up in your Momentum! Accumulating foundations like this in your Momentum that provide free value is the key to success. With 4 of these in your momentum, you can send 9-difficulty attacks with ease, and then block during your Rival’s turn just as easily!

Vast Hybrid Chimera Kraken pressures your Rival’s resources while also making your attacks harder to block!

If Vast Hybrid Chimera Kraken goes to your momentum, it goes face-up and can use its Once Per Turn Enhance to give one of your attacks each turn +2 Speed, meaning Vast Hybrid provides continuous value as long as it’s in your Momentum.

Secondly, the other Enhances seriously pin down your rival’s board! You can commit and freeze a threatening foundation, as well as committing an Asset! This helps you clear your way through their defense or limit their offense on their next turn.
